Our Story

Wentworth & Rowe began in 1998, when Margaret Rowe opened a small womenswear shop in Charleston. She was a Wentworth before she was a Rowe, and the house carries both names the way the Lowcountry carries its history: quietly, and with pride.

For twenty-eight years the shop has dressed women who value things made carefully. Coats that last for decades, linen that breathes through a Charleston summer, pieces chosen slowly and kept for years.

Our Mission

To help every woman feel quietly confident in what she wears. Margaret still chooses every piece. Her daughter Nora, who grew up between these racks, finally brought the shop online, so the women who visit Charleston once can dress from Charleston all year round.
